You could consider just upgrading the graphics in your Acer. It probably only has the on-board graphics instead of a actual graphics card.
There are a few minor details though - the Acer is a small system which can only accept low profile video cards, and it only has a 220watt non-standard power supply.
However you could get a low profile HD6670 or HD7750 which would increase your graphics performance significantly.

(A low-profile HD7750 would be best, but they are just coming onto the market and may be hard to find. The HD6670 may have problems with that small of a power supply)
The new system you linked should work fine. The important thing with any "gaming" computer is a proper balance between CPU and GPU power - which that system has.
You don't want a computer that uses just Intel graphics or on-the-motherboard graphics, except for an AMD APU. Some other posters may know of some better choices within your budget, but it would help to know where you are located (as in what country?)
